About the Role

Managing Client Relationships:

Acquiring knowledge of clients operations and general strategy
Managing and growing relationships with existing clients

Team Management and Leadership:

Being responsible for the performance of a team consisting of Analysts, Associates and AVPs
Mentoring, training and developing the team
Undertaking staffing and workload management for the team


Involving in creating pitch materials for target markets
Envisaging the future analytical needs of the organization & starting to create the corresponding statistical framework
Translating the business problem into the analytical problem and giving the corresponding understanding to the team
Championing awareness of data indicators within the organization and helping everyone to proactively identify data patterns, growth trends, and areas of improvement
Leveraging complex data algorithms and numerical methods for forecasting, simulation, and predictive analysis, designing to optimize key decisions and metrics such as retention, engagement, and operations
Working with all teams in the company to understand, plan and drive actionable data-based decisions, championing the Data Science culture
Using various machine learning strategies to model and forecast consumer dynamics as well as business performance indicators using both spatial and non-spatial data sources


Strong grasp of data analytics concepts and an analytical ability
Team management experience with a focus on mentoring
Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills (written and verbal)
Entrepreneurial team player with excellent multitasking skill
Self-reliant and creative problem-solving skills


An MBA in Business Analytics with a minimum of 8 years of work experience
or 10+ years of work experience with a bachelors degree in any field



Responsibility for ensuring achievement of all business targets of BOI STAR IM by acquiring investors in the given region through MFD channel, non PCG distribution channels, Institutional investors and their internet channels.

  • Work closely with Head Sales & Business Development to develop the sales strategy for the zone

  • Sales:

- Complete responsibility for ensuring implementation of the regional sales plan

- Sales targets to be defined in terms of market share, assets under management by asset class or total, gross sales, net sales, number of customer accounts, number of transactions, number of SIPs, etc

  • Accountability for implementing all sales and distribution initiatives including sales promotion drives, new product launches in the given distribution channels

  • Distributor management

  • Identifying and appointing new distributors in the given geography to enhance market share and reach, responsible for business generation and scaling up business relationships as per as the assigned targets to enhance market share and reach

  • Responsible for managing distributor relationship effectively, increase allocations from all existing empaneled MFDs.

  • Plan engagement activities for the MFDs through meets, presentation and mailers etc. on a regular basis

  • Create benefit analysis for all the MFDs across the mapped area

  • To identify product trends in market and provide analytical information to Reporting Manager

  • Sharing progress report and market updates, provide regular feedback and implement constructive changes to enhance business growth in sync with the Reporting Manager

  • Work with senior management to create BOI STAR as a preferred brand

  • People related:

- Facilitate the hiring and retention of staff full time and outsourced

- Managing a team of sales and distribution staff - permanent as well as outsourced for given territory

- Training internal sales team and distributors on markets and products

Work closely with the Customer Service team to ensure a positive customer experience and internal customers/ sales team to keep costs well within budget
